History:The Theory of the Nerve Cell
Some of human's behaviors are dominated by the nerve cells rather than by the brain. But scientists didn't know the existence of the nerve cells until the 19th century. The theory of the nerve cells was then put forward by a chemist. It lays a good foundation for further researches on the brain.
