Basic Medicine:The Eye
Each of our sense organs, including the eye, ear and skin, responds to a particular kind of stimulus. For the eye, that stimulus is light. The reason that we can see things is because light is reflected off them, or because they themselves give off light. The eyes gather this light information so that the brain can turn it into an image. and then make an appropriate response. We're going to explore this amazing process by looking at the structures that make up the eye and its surroundings.
