Plants can't move, they just sit here exposed to weather and creatures that want to eat them. But evolution has armed them for survival, and one of their most powerful weapons is an incredible array of chemicals. We in turn, have learned to take advantage of those compounds, long before we had modern drugs, people were using foxgloves for heart problems, and the bark of willow trees for headaches. Today we know they contain digitalis and aspirin. What other useful drugs do plants make?
