Arthritis affects more than 40 million North Americans, making it the most common chronic illness after flu and the cold. Arthritis attacks and destroys the joints, bones and soft tissue of the body. It plays no favors, even children get arthritis. What causes arthritis is unkown, even a pattern of inheritance may be difficult to establish. There are over 100 varieties, ranging from skin ailments to severe life-threatening joint and soft tissue diseases.
