It had always been thought that endogenous depression – depression of internal origin - was either hereditary or due to stress. But now some scientists believe that depression can be caused by a virus which called "Borna virus". Even if the hypotheses about the Borna virus should prove to be wrong, they've brought a breath of fresh air into psychiatry.
