The airplane， born on the computer screen of Dasur Aviation Designing Office in thin colored lines， was first called the ACX， but very soon became the Rafale， an aircraft or rather a technology demonstrator. Because what we needed was a machine that unfailingly would meet the needs of the French army and air forces at the start of the 21st century.
