History:Protein
Proteins are vital to life. They are special because they make life possible in all its complexity. Inside the human body, specialized protein molecules regulate the complicated chemical processes. In 1920s, the German chemist Emil Fisher took up research in natural substances. He made a breakthrough in 1907. He succeeded in linking amino acids in a pre-arranged order. It was a protein molecule produced only in laboratory using chemical method.
