As humans are burning fossil fuels and dumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, in 50 years we've boost the temperature of the planet 5 degrees. 5 degrees may not sound like much, up or down it is eoungh to trigger an ice age or melt a polar ice caps. Today the temperature is rising at the rate of a thousand times faster than ever before. How many species then face extinction when they are hit with this sudden rush of heat?
