A bee is visiting rapeseed blossoms. It's busy collecting nectar from the flowers. Bees also collect pollen to feed their larvae. On its back legs, two lumps are clearly visible. These are balls of pollen, known as pollen pellets. The pollen pellet is held securely by long hairs on the back legs. Let's see how this part of the leg looks when there is no pellet.
