When we think about how electricity works, the hazards start to make sense. And if we think about what we're doing, we can stay out of harm's way. So remember: Look after power cords so they don’t get frayed. Don't touch exposed wires in power leads. If wires or equipment are damaged, turn them off at the power point and have them repaired by a qualified electrician. Keep electrical equipment away from water.
