Physics:Einstein: E=mc2
Einstein is the most important physicist of the 20th century and the first scientific superstar. It was for this aspect of quantum physics that he was to receive the Nobel Prize in 1921. In the same article he formulated the special theory of relativity. This theory has its origins in considerations of the speed of light. With his special theory of relativity, Albert Einstein laid the foundation for a new concept of space and time by showing that these dimensions, hitherto seen as totally independent, were nothing of the sort.
