There are many different types of waves. If a substance is resilient then it can carry waves. In this program, we're going to look at as many different waves as we can. Many of them work quite differently to each other, but they all have something in common - wave behaviour. In a wave, energy travels while the matter stays where it is. There are many different types of waves. They can be described by the type of motion they involve, such as tension waves, gravity waves and so on.
