Physics:Electricity — What Is It?
Electricity, how does it work? If you pull out the plug, why doesn't it form a pool on the floor? How do they get it out of coal? Do they get it out of water? How does it do so many magic things? It's tricky stuff. But actually it's quite simple. If we zoom into a metal we will eventually see atoms. They are surrounded by electrons with a negative charge. In metals, the outer electrons are loosly bound. They are free to roam and swap positions. These electrons are electricity.
