The lecturer in this programe is an illustrator named David Macaulay. David has made a lot of drawings of Rome over the years. Besides drawing Rome, he gets there as often as possible. All different materials, all different styles, all different times. Drawings from sketchbooks, looking at the details of Rome. Part of the reason David shows you these is that it sort of helps illustrate part of what he goes through with trying to figure out what he feels about Rome and why he feels it.
