Nearly half of the world's population live at the edge of waterways that cross borders. Wars have been fought over these water resources for centuries — triggered when a community tries to claim all rights for itself and leave its neighbors high and dry. In the new century， the pundits predict that there will be more wars fought over water than for oil reserves.
