All places on earth are environments. Built environment is everything built by people for a purpose. We build places for shelter and to live in, or for farming and agriculture, for industry ,transport, for recreation, the arts and entertainment and for work. The built environment also includes refuse and garbage, or the ruins of past buildings. Our surroundings affect the choices we make, and in turn these choices will affect our environment and our lives.
