Decoration:Achitecture 21: Bodo Rasch —— Achitecture for Allah
The German architect Bodo Rasch has been a Muslim for more than 30 years and he’s been allowed a privilege granted to few others: building in the grand style in the holy places of Islam. He’s a famous architect, who’s done a great deal for the Hajj pilgrims. He has designed many buildings for them, like the tent-city of Mina. He has also built 27 movable domes in the inner courtyard of the Prophet Mohammed Mosque in Medina, it is a successful symbiosis of German hi-tech and traditional Islamic Saudi Arabian architecture.
