Decoration:Achitecture 21: A Roof for Berlin — The New Olympic Stadium
In order to greet 2006 Soccer World cup，Berlin arena was renovated at great cost according to plans drawn up by architects Gerkan and Marg and Partner. In the past spectators were completely exposed to the wind and weather， and the main innovation is the stadium’s state-of-the-art high-tech roof. They have developed a unique roof construction for the Berlin stadium consisting of glass， steel， and high-tech material. A truly pioneering achievement.
