If you are confronted with the ocean， you either need a ship or a tunnel. A tunnel has many advantages: it can not only shorten the journey， but also can protect people travelling outside from rain， snow and hail. But building a tunnel is not an easy thing， it can be very dangerous sometimes. Two hundred years ago， French emperor Napoleon wanted to build a tunnel under the English Channel， it is a rather big project.
