We are Rough Science. Mission control is an abandoned silver mine on the edge of Death Valley. Here the scientists have basic kit and simple tools， ingenuity they supply themselves. This week Jonathan and Kathy is going to come up with an aerial rover; something that can get airborne and explore a much wider area. Ellen and Ian need to find the centre of that earthquake and to work out what it measured on the Richter scale.
