Astronomy:History of the Race to the Moon
For thousands of years people have looked up to the moon and dreamt about how to get there. It was only by the beginning of last century that the dream looked possible because of the ideas developed by Konstantin Tsiokovsky. He proposed many theories about how to get people into space. And American Robert Goddard had made a liquid fuelled rocket that actually flew way up into the sky. These are the early attempts to get to the moon.
