Astronomy:The Meteorite Hit Earth

The traces of the meteorite's impact in the West African state of Ghana have been carefully investigated by scientists. They were concerned with questions of climate and with precisely what happened when the disaster struck. The international project was co-ordinated by the Earth Sciences Research Centre at Potsdam near Berlin.
