Astronomy:Prospecting for Planets
After many triumphs and discoveries， what will be the next frontier? For planetary astronomers， the next goal is finding planets around stars other than our sun. What we'd really like to do is find out if there are other planetary systems out there with planets like Jupiter or even like the Earth circling around another parent star. Astronomers now think they've found evidence of planets around other stars. Their search is driven by the oldest of questions: Are we alone in the universe?
