Film-making has come a long way in the last 100 years since the era when audiences sat glued to a screen watching a silent film, accompanied by a live piano player in the cinema. But one thing which has never changed is the need for a strong script because film-making has always been about telling stories. If the scriptwriting process is not done well, then no matter how cleverly the film is directed, how big a budget it has or how talented the actors are, the film will only ever be mediocre.
